  • Admission fees are collected at the gatehouse just inside to zoo gates as you enter the car park and before parking.

  • Please do check also in at the gatehouse if you have pre-booked your tickets, and please have your booking details, last name and reference ready at this point.

Terms & Conditions for External Wildlife Parks and Zoos

CAFE

OUR TAKE AWAY CAFE (Continuously rated 5* for health and hygiene by Cambridgeshire District Council) serves a selection of food and drink to eat in or for you to take away, there is a small indoor area for inclement weather. There is a garden outside of the coffee shop where you can also eat the food and drink you have purchased on site (you may not eat your own food in the cafe garden). In addition to our regular menu, we also have some vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free options. (All food is prepared in a kitchen where known allergens may be present).

PICNICS

PICNICING is only allowed in the designated areas, which are the covered area behind the toilet block, play area and at your car. Parking is within the zoo gates so you can return to this area throughout your visit. You may not take any food or drink (except water) into the zoo, including the cafe garden.

Through the restrictions imposed by the COVID pandemic, it showed us that not allowing picnics within the zoo was actually better for our animals. Not only do we no longer have to spend time picking up people’s rubbish, which could cause harm to both our animals and native species who choose to live with us, but also prevents people offering their own food to our animals, all of whom are on strictly prepared diets catered to their individual needs.

We are asking you to help us achieve our goal of reducing waste to landfill and zero littering of the countryside, please take home all of your rubbish to recycle responsible yourself.

PLAY AREA

THE ADVENTURE PLAY AREA is located within a fenced off area alongside the covered picnic area and behind the toilet block in the car park. Parents or guardians must assess the suitability of each piece of play equipment for the children in their care. Children will love exploring our play area but must be closely supervised at all times. Please do not let your children wander off around the zoo on their own, they must have a responsible adult with them at all times. Play safely and enjoy!

DISABLED VISITORS

Most areas of the zoo are accessible for people using wheelchairs. Expect mostly Country Park like pathways with some uneven and mixed surfaces including roots in places, we are also set on a slight incline. Whilst we have many regular visitors who enjoy the zoo from their wheelchairs, some visitors have told us that they have found getting a wheelchair around is a hard push at times. Because of the uneven and Country Park like nature of our woodland trails around the zoo we do not recommend motorised mobility scooters or chairs, especially those with a narrow wheel base.

If you find you are unable to access any building please ask for assistance, as extra ramps are available.

We do not receive grants or any funding to pass on and as our admission fees are already the lowest in the country for a zoo of this size, we are unable to offer further reductions for concessionary tickets. Our admission prices include VAT, so if you are VAT registered you can claim this back.

DOGS AND PETS

Sorry dogs and pets are not allowed in the zoo including the car park - this includes guide dogs and assistant dogs as this has been known to upset the animals.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY

Linton Zoo operates a policy of no refunds or exchanges for zoo admissions purchased on entry, booked online or by telephone.

We reserve the right to vary animals on display and cannot guarantee that you would be able to view all of the species listed on this website at the time of your visit.
