School, College and Activity Group Visits
Engaging sessions designed for schools, colleges and Groups of all ages. We offer fully customised courses for schools and colleges, supporting studies in Animal Science, Geography, Essential Skills (English and Mathematics), and opportunities to explore Forest School learning. Look below at our School Elective Courses bringing the zoo to your school remotely.
For primary schools, we introduce learners to the animals of the Rainforest, exploring habitats, adaptations, and biodiversity. These sessions help pupils develop scientific enquiry skills, build vocabulary linked to habitats and life processes, and strengthen cross‑curricular learning through storytelling, observation, and guided discussion. All sessions can be linked directly to your Key Stage curriculum, with development plans provided upon request.
For Further Education Colleges and Activity groups (Squirrels, Scouts and Brownies and Rainbows):
We are very familiar with animal Care or Zoo Training qualifications and understand the B-tech and T-Level specialist units studied within. Do contact us and we can create a bespoke welcoming to Linton Zoo.
Activity groups keeper talks and animal enrichment opportunities. Group badges ranging from animal caring, navigation, British wildlife and Horticulture can all be accommodated at Linton zoo - please don't hesitate to enquire.

Aimed at secondary or sixth form learners - Explore biology, design, geography, and conservation through online learning. These courses are tailored to enhance education and promote classroom involvement in preparation for enrichment experiences at Linton Zoo. A certificate of completion is also available for participants upon finishing the course.


6-Week Course
This is a short, focused study on the subject that has been specifically requested for your learners. It provides a comprehensive overview of essential topics and concludes with an engaging and educational visit to the zoo, where learners can observe various animals in their habitats, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of biodiversity.
10-Week Course
Comprehensive study of animal behaviour and their ecosystems. This program offers a profound and in-depth exploration of various aspects of wildlife, focusing on their habitats, interactions, and the critical roles they play within the ecosystem. There is a strong emphasis on Geography, where you will learn about the different biomes and environmental factors that influence animal life. Additionally, you will delve into the intricacies of animal sciences, covering topics such as anatomy, physiology, and animal psychology. Lastly, our Zoology module provides comprehensive knowledge of animal taxonomy and conservation efforts to protect endangered species. The course adopts a practical approach, where a project is conducted remotely, allowing you to gather data and insights before applying your knowledge with our animals during your visit to the zoo at the conclusion of the course. This hands-on experience is designed to deepen your understanding of animal behaviour and enhance your analytical skills, preparing you for real-world applications in the field.
4-Week Course




An extensive exploration of animal behavior and their habitats. Emphasis on Geography, animal science, and Zoology through a hands-on method, culminating in a remote project that is later implemented with our animals during your visit to the zoo at the end of the course over a 6-week duration.
