Booking in advance is essential for all of our experiences.
GIFT VOUCHERS are available and a voucher can be provided valid for 1 year, just send us a booking form and mark that you are buying as a gift, the voucher can be sent to the buyer or straight to the participant.

Our Keeper experiences are perfect for the animal mad person. They are designed specifically to give you a zoo keeper experience and giving you the opportunity to not only get close to some of the zoo animals but to understand more about the important role that modern day zoos play in the conservation and protection of some of the worlds most endangered creatures.
For Health and Safety reasons and due to the range of activities being undertaken, the keeper experiences involving big cats are only available to those over 18 years of age.
KEEPER EXPERIENCE - age 8-13 years (1 and a half hour experience)
Meet a range of our animals and help the keepers with their daily routine of cleaning, feeding and presentation of any scheduled educational talks. Animal species may include lemurs, wallabies, tortoises, birds and red kangaroo.
£130 inc VAT
Up to two extra children can accompany the primary nominated child £50 each.
Also included in the primary package; annual sponsorship of your favourite lemur; certificate of participation; donation to wild animal conservation projects, goodie bag and admission to the zoo. Accompanying children participating in the experience will receive admission to the zoo and a goodie bag.
After your experience you are free to wander around the zoo for the rest of the day. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (age 18+) at all times, the adult will be expected to participate in some of the activities too!
The programme of activities is dependant on the capability of the participants, however, where it is possible, reasonable adjustments will be made to try to ensure that the Keeper Experience is open to all.

ADULT KEEPER EXPERIENCE - age 14+ (2 hour experience)

As well as a very privileged behind the scenes experience and close encounter with a lion, tiger or snow leopard, you will also receive joint annual sponsorship of your chosen big cat, your own personalised certificate, information on your chosen species, an electronic copy of the photographs taken by the keeper during your experience, a gift bag, lunch and time to explore our wonderful wildlife conservation park, where there are many more lovely animals to see.
Meet the team and find out much more about how the zoo operates, how zoos work closely together not only across the country, but across the world. Hear all about the conservation projects we support because we all strongly believe these animals should stay where they so rightly belong, in the wild!
This is a joint experience where you will both be meeting the same cat at the same time and whilst we will try to accommodate your preferences, we cannot guarantee your chosen cat will be available on the day of your visit. If a cat doesn't want to play, we won't make them, in this case a suitable alternative will be chosen.

After some complimentary welcome drinks, come face to face with some of our amazing interactive animal encounters, meet our fantastic team of keepers, as they give you a private guided tour around the zoo, get up close and personal with some of our lemurs before taking a break for lunch.
This brand new experience offers a thrilling day spent in the company of some of our most popular animals at the zoo!
After lunch your guided tour will continue and you'll be stopping off along the way at many of our fascinating and extraordinary species, including some you have probably never even heard of!
