Coffee Shop and Gate House Assistants

Linton Zoo Conservation Park currently has part-time assistant positions for highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual available in our coffee shop and in our gate house. Both positions are part-time and primarily at weekends, Bank holidays and during school holidays.

As a Coffee House and Retail Assistant you will have responsibility for table cleaning, shelf stacking, general cleaning and housekeping of the cafeterian and visitor facilities. You will need to be energetic and have good people skills. Applicants must be 16 years plus. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given

The position as an Admissions and Administration Assitant, working at the gate house is a front line role looking after guests in person in addition to andling telephone, e-mail and written enquiries. General duties will include taking admissions, being the first point of call for all enquiries in person and over the phone, organising school and group bookings, booking the various "Keeper Experience” and “Animal Encounter” sessions on offer, and processing our annual passes.

Applicants must be reliable, competent handling money and have good literacy, numeracy and computer skills (Word and Excel skills essential) and be able to attend to all visitors in a polite and friendly manner ensuring a high level of customer care at all times. Accounting skills desirable but not essential.

Due to the nature of our business, successful applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to work weekends, school holidays and all bank holidays. Holidays must be taken off season during our Winter Weekends period. An interest in wildlife conservation will be beneficial.
